HO-HO-KUS, N.J. – Raimondi Horticultural Group recently was awarded the top safety award from the National Association of Landscape Professionals. The “Best of the Best” award – the equivalent of an Oscar – honors companies with an overall safety achievement award – gold performance status – for three consecutive years.

Creating and maintaining a safe work environment requires a company culture in-tune with safety, and a significant commitment of resources and people. Key to an effective safety plan is finding and fixing hazards before they cause injury or illness, and making sure employees have a voice in safety and health.

“RHG is proud of the year-round focus our team places on safety,” said Chris Raimondi, CEO/president. “The gold award is rewarding but, more importantly, I’m grateful for the hard work and commitment of all of our employees to attaining this standing.”

The landscape industry is one of the most visible and potentially dangerous businesses. However, an established model of safety practices and employee recognition results in a formula of success that extends beyond the workplace into the clients’ venues.

The road to achieving the top safety award is not easy. It requires vigilance, paperwork and repetition for executing established safety practices.

Safety awards are not new to RHG. The 42-year-old company has a proud history in focusing on safety, training, certification and continuing education. Earning the top safety status recognizes companies with exemplary records in the areas of:
• No vehicle accidents
• No injuries or illnesses
• No days away from work

Safety is a topic that remains front and center at RHG. For details on how RHG works individually with clients on safety on the job, please contact us at www.raimondihg.com; 201-445-1299.
